A lover of stories, cats, & the outdoors.

Anna Alsup is a writer of novels for young adults. She grew up in Austin, Texas, where she spent her time on lakes and ranches, always with a book in hand. She’s a graduate of the University of Texas with a B.S. in biomedical engineering, nowadays working on environmental public safety initiatives.

Anna is the Regional Advisor for the Austin SCBWI chapter, where she leads chapter meetings, plans conferences and events for industry professionals to connect, and fosters a community of love for kidlit.

She’s an active member of the Writer’s League of Texas and Messy Manuscript Society. She enjoys writing stories that celebrate the resilience of teens—whether navigating high school or surviving alternate universes. When she’s not writing, she enjoys her afternoons on with her 2 cats, Bean and Lil’ Dude.
